Tommyknocker Brewery- Small Batch Harvest Pumpkin Ale

Tommyknocker Brewery- Small Batch Harvest Pumpkin Ale
Kristin Hubbard

ABV: 5.0%

September weather calls for Pumpkin Ale

Fall is the time to be outdoors. Everyone, including myself, loves the summer weather, but there’s something very charming and complimentary about sipping on a nice brown pumpkin ale and not wasting headspace on whether I need sunscreen.

On this comfortable, cloudy, yet casual day, I played a little catch with my pup and enjoyed a pleasant fall pumpkin ale by Tommyknocker Brewery. The thin texture was complimented with a hint of cinnamon on the start, finishing off with a spicy nutmeg. Notes of roasted malts came through with little to no hop characteristics (which I don’t know how I’d feel about hops and pumpkin but I’d love to try it) and the strong molasses tones complimented both the spicing and the texture. On a day like today when there is time to kick back and enjoy the crisp fall breeze, I can say that I would love another Tommyknocker Pumpkin to compliment the changing of the leaves. (woah that rhymed)
