PorchDrinking.com First Year in Review Part 2
This week we celebrate the PorchDrinking.com’s one year anniversary. So we wanted to look back on some of our favorite posts that some of you may have missed along the way. Some are being revisited due to their hilarity, others because of how well written they were, and others just because they hold special meaning to us personally. Here is the second installment of PorchDrinking.com First Year in Review.
Some call him the mad scientist of beer, others call him the constable but one thing’s for sure, Will Dozier is a phenomenal photographer. Here’s one of his earliest shots in his review of Funkwerks’ Fruition.
Still our most read post, Great Lakes Christmas Ale is a crowd favorite. Lindsay did a phenomenal job capturing the essence of this delicious brew and since she joined, Lindsay has become one of the best additions to our team.
Ultimate 6er for a Visit from the In-Laws
Ultimate 6er It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
This duo of Ultimate 6ers represent the inventive and creative. Scot brought us one of the earliest Ultimate 6er for when the in-laws visit. Clearly that occasion calls for some heavy hitting beers. And Andy brought us an awesome 6er to pair with each cast member from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia!
This was by far one of my favorite pieces to put together and our staff stepped up with some great contributions. Who says we can’t tackle politics in a funny way? In this piece we broke down things that are legal that shouldn’t be as compared to the legalization of marijuana.
Caitlin has been one of our main stalwarts of Pop Culture since the blog’s inception and she got readers caught up on how to be conversant in LOST, just in case anyone happened to live under a rock for the past 10 years!
Drink Like a Fictional Character
Another pop culture great, Drew taught us all how to drink like our favorite fictional characters!
We also tackled a few important issues in the realm of the craft beer industry. Earlier this year Scott wrote of Budweiser’s parent company InBev’s purchase of Goose Island in Chicago. Since then it just hasn’t been the same.
