Bender: A Time Travel Short Film
You know when you go out with some friends and you have a little bit too much to drink and then you end up waking up in the park several years in the future? We’ve all been there right? Hello- this is a beer blog, of course we have! Well, ok maybe not that last part. My good friend Christopher Hawthorne is making a short film called “Bender” where, as he describes it “A raffish-yet-lovable Henry misses his daughter’s birthday, he does what any raffish-yet-lovable man does: drink. A lot. The next morning, thoroughly hungover, he wakes up in the middle of Prospect Park. But something’s different. Turns out it’s 10 years in the future.” Le gasp! Now he has to figure out how to get back to 2003 and he doesn’t have Doc Brown to help him- just his friend Mike, who as far as I know is not a mad scientist.
They’ve finished shooting the film but need some help getting the damn thing finished (as is the way of the indie filmmaker). So please do me a solid and head over to the kickstarter, watch the video and hopefully throw some money their way. They’ve got some super cool rewards up there, including going on a real life bender with Christopher. We’ve been drunk together. It’s pretty fun and I highly recommend it.
