Roundtable Discussion: Must-do Beer-related Fall Events

Roundtable Discussion: Must-do Beer-related Fall Events
Katharine Clark

The summer is drawing to a close; (Yes it is, denial won’t help). So, for this week’s staff Roundtable Discussion, I asked “what are the must-do beer-related events for the Fall”. Hopefully, either or staff or our PorchDrinking fans will be able to add to the list.

-1Football tailgates! – Vic

Pumpkin carving party! Complete with this, filled with pumpkin beer, obvi. – Marie

ZWANZE DAY, man. Beer nerd Christmas Sept 14th.  Local brewpub Cambridge Beer Co. throws an awesome pumpkin beer festival in October. Pretty excited to go to that too. CBC’s Great Pumpkin Festival is October 26th. – Gabe

What Vic said. What Gabe said. NOT excited for all of the pumpkins in all of the beers. All I need is Rumpkin. – Phil

ZWANZE DAY!!! Good one, Gabe! ZWANZE DAY is September 14th at selected bars around the world. Here’s the Cantillon website: http://cantillon.be/br/3_21 – Vic

+1 Vic on Tailgating. It truly is the most wonderful part of football season. Maybe that’s just because I am a UK fan… – Erin

I’m excited for the City of Lovelands Oktoberfest, which this year will be a mini beer fest featuring all our local breweries and distribution warehouses. That is Sept 20-21. I’m also stoked to head down to Telluride Blues and Brews this year! Woo hoo. – Lauren

Cincy Beerfest on Fountain Square (Sept13-14) is always a great time. However, living in Lexington, no Fall would be complete without a trip to Keeneland. The tree lined parking lot at this Kentucky horse track is my favorite place to drink beer on any occasion. Too bad they are only open in April and October. – Jason

Festival of Barrel Aged Beers (FoBab Chicago!!!) Nov. 16 – Michelle
