For the second straight year we at Freshcraft had the privilege to work with Ska Brewing Co & Peach St. Distillers to create a unique beer & barrel aged cocktail for the Denver Beer Fest / GABF crowd.  This year there was a call to our palates from south of the border.  Enter DaSkave de Fuego, a heavily hopped Extra Pale Ale infused with tropical fruit & habanero and aged in a Peach St D’Agave Gold barrel.  After the beer was transferred from the barrel we filled with DaSKAve Bam Bam – a cocktail made with more Peach St D’Agave and other great ingredients.  You’ll get the chance to try both of these and more if you show up after the GABF session lets out on Thursday this year

The drink list will include (but probably won’t be limited to):

Ever go to GABF hoping to talk to folks from your favorite breweries but can never find them at their tables? Yeah, that’s cuz they like to drink other people’s beer too and love walking around the fest. Well, if you were hoping to enjoy a pint with the folks from Lagunitas, they will be hanging out here during the Friday session; from 7pm until they ask us to leave or put pants back on. Lagunitas Brew Master, Jeremy Marshall, and a couple other of our surly and over-worked brewers will be there. Don’t worry, we’ll make them shower beforehand. We’ll have a firkin (real ale, fools!) and a couple other gems on draft.

Beers:

  • High West Rye Barrel Aged Cappuccino Stout
  • Maximus IPA
  • Firkin TBD

 It Started With A Beer… – 7:00-9:00 PM @ Renegade Taproom – 925 W. 9th Avenue

The Great American Beer Festival is a celebration of an industry- the people, growth, product, and fans that make craft beer great. In this week of big events and expensive tickets, we wanted to take a step back.

Renegade was built on the passion of people coming together over beer. There’s nothing quite like a good beer shared with old or new friends. We want to put aside our profits and get back to what we love- sharing beer with you.

On Friday the 11th, from 7-9 PM, all beer served at Renegade will cost $1. Bring a friend and a few bucks, we’ll share pint.

Friday Falling Rock Special Tappings

  • 12pm Sierra Nevada (CA) Annual Kill A Keg (Harvest Ale). This event started when we noticed that we were pouring the season’s first keg of Harvest Ale really quickly. It started us thinking, just how fast could we pour a keg of beer? The rules are pretty simple: a 15.5gal keg, 1 person filling glasses out of one faucet. Last year’s time? 9 Minutes 36 seconds.
  • 1pm Boulevard (MO)
  • 2pm Anderson Valley (CA)
  • 3pm NoLi (WA)
  • 4pm Odell (CO)
  • 10pm Stone (CA)
  • 10:30 (outside) Dogfish Head (DE) SoupKitchen Smokebreak. World Wide Stout poured thru a Randall containing Locally Roasted Coffee Beans & Cigar Tobacco. Also on Tap will be 61 & Palo Santo Marron as well as one other (both the brewery & Chris are digging through their cellars to see what’s available). We’ll also have samples of Dogfish Head’s Beer Infused Chowder & Pickles.
  • 11pm Left Hand (CO) with Fade To Black #’s 1-4
  • Falling Rock (Tentative) “Chicago” tap takeover featuring Half Acre
