New Belgium Snapshot Wheat Release Party | Denver, CO

new belgium snapshot wheat

Denverites unite! It’s already been a few months since New Belgium Brewing’s new unfiltered wheat, Snapshot debuted on store shelves, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to throw down in celebration of it’s official release. PorchDrinking will be on hand at Galvanize, located at 1062 Delaware St., to support our great friends at Artifact Uprising who have partnered with New Belgium Brewing and Imbibe Denver for Saturday night’s release party.

The event features live music from Ark Life and The Blue Rider, a seven-tap takeover from New Belgium Brewing, a fantastic display of user submitted photography curated, and presented by Artifact Uprising and a $10 ticket also gets you two free beer tokens. Tickets are still available at Imbibe.

Snapshot Wheat is the first unfiltered wheat to come from New Belgium since the discontinuation of Mothership Wit. This crisp, refreshing, easy-to-drink offering begins with a light citrus-y sweetness drawn from the Cascade hops, which yields to subtle spice flavors of coriander and finishes with just a hint of tartness exhibited by the use of the lactobacillus bacteria. While Snapshot only exhibits trace amounts of tart flavors, it’s the perfect gateway to discovering the latest in beer trends, sour beers.

For those who are a bit more into the mechanics of brewing this beer, Snapshot uses a unique process of blending two worts. One with the lacto which provides an acidified wort, which is then blended with a non acidified wort to create that mildly tart flavor.
