Spiteful Brewing | Alley Time! Pale Ale

6% ABV

Spiteful is among my favorites of the breweries I’ve discovered since moving to Chicago a little over four months ago. The Alley Time is a smash beer (single malt/single hop) made with Pilsen malt and Simcoe hops. These two ingredients come together to create a crisp, refreshing pale ale with just the right amount of bite for these warm summer days, fleeting though they may be.

The Alley Time pours a nice hazy golden color with a foamy head that sticks around for a few sips. The nose is earthy and slightly tropical, and the citrus flavor of Simcoe really comes through as the beer opens up a little. The finish is nice and clean. At 6% ABV, this beer is sessionable without being too light on the palate.

Alley Time has become my go-to six-pack for summer outings. It’s easy to find, easy to drink, and easy to love! I look forward to more offerings from Spiteful Brewing as we head into the fall and hunker down for winter.
