It’s the time of the year for Russian River Pliny the Younger! Saturday February 21st at 1pm. Doors will open at our usual time of 11am. We will be issuing Tickets that allow you to purchase a glass of Pliny the Younger as people arrive. There will be 2 colors of tickets, if you get the first color, relax, sit down, start a tab, get something to eat & a warm-up beer or two, you’re getting a Younger, the second color, well, Maybe. When it comes time to tap Younger, we’ll sell it to all of the folks with the first color, if you are seated & have a tab with a server, you can stay seated because the server will bring it to you. When we finish serving all the folks with the first color we will do a last call for that color ticket then line up the second color tickets in order (they have numbers written on the back 1-20) & start serving those folks. In order to get a Pliny the Younger you need to be here before we do last call for that color of
tickets (usually around 25-30 minutes after we start pouring it) or you lose your chance & giving it to the next persons in line. I know it might sound a bit complex, but it’s really simple & has made our Pliny the Younger release days a lot easier, more civilized & less stressful for everyone involved.
On Saturday we will have tickets handed out as doors open. Remember, you can come hang out on our patio and wait for the doors to open but you cannot have alcoholic beverages with you. Wait until we open, then you can buy a beer and wait.”

Time: 2pm
1530 Blake St, Denver, CO 80202
Well it’s that time of year again! Freshcraft will be tapping our keg of Russian River Brewing Pliny the Younger this coming Sunday 2/22 at 2pm. This year they have teamed up with Elite Brands, Russian River, and Sense of Security; whose mission is to help Colorado breast cancer patients survive financially while they are undergoing breast cancer treatment. Freshcraft will be donating $1 from every Pliny the Younger purchase for this worthy cause.
Time for the details:
All PtY purchases will be cash only and only available at the bar. Freshcraft will not be starting tabs for the purchase of Younger. They will be forming a line at 1:30pm; tapping at 2pm. It is recommended that you arrive early. You also must have a Valid ID. There will be a limited number of tickets – once you receive one you can relax, you will get a pour of the beer. After initial tickets are passed out, Freshcraft will then have a few remaining “second chance” tickets which will be numbered. These “second chance” tickets DO NOT secure you a pour, but allow you the chance to get one of the last few remaining pours until the keg kicks.
On top of all that goodness, starting at 11am (when we open) Russian River Blind Pig and Pliny the Elder will be available on draft. After the Younger keg kicks, they will also be tapping at least one of the Russian River barrel aged sours! None of the Russian River offerings will be available for happy hour pricing this day. Freshcraft have run this event the same way every year with great success and they hope everyone has a great time! See you Sunday!

The Fermentologists Present: Winter Yum Yum Release @ Dad & Dude’s Breweria (Aurora)
Time: 7pm
6730 S Cornerstar Way Suite D, Aurora, Colorado 80016
The Fermentologists recently hosted a collaboration competition at Dad & Dude’s Breweria in Parker. Their members were paired into one of four teams and asked to brew a ‘Winter Warmer’ beer. They were challenged to create a recipe that had to include specific ingredients, including using something from a tree in Colorado, at least one kind of fruit, a type of adjunct sugar, Maris Otter as their base malt, and White Labs English Ale Yeast. Each Winter Warmer also had to be above 6% ABV.
Their members worked hard during the month of November to perfect their recipes and brew their beers. Once the beers were ready to drink, the head brewer, Brian Connery, and his team from Dad & Dude’s sampled their members’ beers and selected one winning recipe.
The winner was a Chocolate Raspberry Stout called “Winter Yum Yum” that used spruce tips, raspberries, chocolate nibs, brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. It finished at 9.4% ABV. The two winning members, Cole and Nick, brewed their beer at Dad & Dude’s on February 5th.
Winter Yum Yum will be released at the brewery on Monday, February 23rd at 7:00pm. Show your support and indulge in some of that delicious Yum Yum!
