Event Preview | BeerShop Pairs Chocolate and Beer for Valentine’s Day
While chocolate is easily the most associated food and drink item with Valentine’s Day, the BeerShop has found a way to bring craft beer into the celebration.
On February 14th at 11am BeerShop will be hosting a chocolate and craft beer pairing event. Kate Coffey, founder of Chocolate Twist, will lead participants through a tasting of four different beers with four different chocolates. The event should last about one hour.
The tastings will be:
- Ommegang’s Abbey Dubbel with Dark Chocolate
- Timmerman’s Strawberry with Milk Chocolate
- Pollyanna’s Vanilla Eleanor with Bittersweet Chocolate
- Exit Strategy’s Dougan’s Brown with Caramel Chocolate
Don’t worry if you don’t have a date. The event is open to both singles and couples. The price is $25 for a single ticket and $40 for couples. All participants must be over the age of 21 and reservations must be made in advance of the event. No walk-ins will be accepted.
To make a reservation you can either call BeerShop at 847-946-4164 or stop into BeerShop before the 14th and make a reservation with one of the bartenders.
