What We’re Drinking | May 6th, 2016
G’day, drinkers. Happy weekend to you. One of my favorite kinds of people to encounter in my taproom are the “I don’t really like beer” types. I always reply with “Yes you do, you just haven’t found the right beer yet!” and then we begin our search. It usually ends with them wide-eyed and lip-smacking, exclaiming “I had no idea beer could taste like this!” With Mother’s Day fast approaching, maybe skip the mimosas and try to teach momma a thing or two about craft beer. Order her a sour, a Belgian quad, a coffee stout, or a fruited IPA — I guarantee she will be pleasantly surprised.
Or you know, beermosas are delicious, too.
Mom is a rockstar, y’all. This weekend, we drink to her. *clink*
Vallejo | Half Acre Beer Co.
“Vallejo from Half Acre Beer Co. is everything I love in an IPA, full of hop flavor and balanced by a nice, light body. The can is pretty awesome too!” — Danele Bova
Primordial | Mother Earth Brew Co.
“Buy cold*Drink Now*Enjoy Responsibly. Mother Earth has crafted a super hoppy brew that resists the urge the balance out towards the end. Hop lovers should seek this brew out! Who needs balance?!? Cheers!” — Chris & Sylvia Hollands
Winter Saison | Blackberry Farm Brewery
“Blackberry Farm Winter Saison. A dark malted Saison with a nice smokey roast to compliment the farmhouse yeast.” — Holly Gerard
Alexander | Rodenbach
“It’s twins… of the beer we’re drinking at Brick Store Pub, one of Atlanta’s best. It’s Alexander from Rodenbach. Not available in the last 16 years. All the servers keep stopping by to ask us if we like it, then telling us how much THEY love it.” — Jess Baker
Spring Fest Lager | Fat Head’s Brewery
“A well-balanced lager. Tastes like a liquid graham cracker! A nice indulgence as I watch the Indians face off against the Tigers.” — Kevin Risner
