What We’re Drinking | May 27th, 2016
Happy Friday, 9-5ers! And Happy Monday to all of the industry friends out there. Regardless of which boat you fall into, either makes for a great occasion to drink some beer. I think you’ll notice a delicious trend in this week’s edition of What We’re Drinking: fruit beers. Yum. June is a-knockin’, folks. Break out the fruited wheats, berliner weisses, and radlers, please. *clink*
Ginger Wheat | Unknown Brewing Co.
“I think I should invest in some Unknown Brewing glassware with how much of their beer I’ve been drinking. Got a fridge full of their Silverback Stout, Bound for Carolina Brown ale, Scratch N Sniff IPA, Kitten Snuggles Farmhouse, and this little gem, Ginger Wheat. It is what it says it is and, truly, unapologetic about it. Now, where’s my Hospitali-Tea Southern Amber?!?!” — John Pylant
Green Blaze IPA | Long Trail Brewing Co.
“Yankee stadium doesn’t offer too many options, so we went with one of the better ones. Green Blaze IPA is very refreshing on this mid-80’s day as we are about to watch A-Rod’s return. Cheers!” — Chris and Sylvia Hollands
Peach de Brettaville | Almanac Beer Co.
“Happy National Wine Day! What better than a wine barrel aged farmhouse saison to celebrate this day? Almanac Peach De Brettaville is tart, funky, and peachy.” — Danele Bova
Psychedelique | Elevation Beer Company
“Elevation Brewing Company’s limited release Dry-Hopped Saison Psychedelique paired with quinoa and mushroom lettuce tacos! Light in body, slightly tart, and one of the best Kettle Sours I’ve ever had. I need to visit this brewery ASAP!” — Desiree Duzich
Wild Huckleberry | Great Northern Brewing Company
“First time in Montana! Trying out some of Big Sky Country’s craft offerings starting with Great Northern Brewing Company’s Wild Huckleberry beer out of Whitefish! Made with locally picked huckleberries, which grow in abundance up here. Yeehaw!” — K.C. Cunilio
