One Minute Beer Review | Franziskaner Weissbier

Franziskaner Weissbier
Lindsay Snyder

Although owned indirectly by Anheuser-Busch, I would argue that Franziskaner Weissbier still has a place in any beer drinkers repertoire.

Let us not forsake a tasty concoction just because of our distaste for all things macro. It offers a simultaneously smooth and quenching wheat body and a satisfyingly fruity finish. I’ve found it to be a loyal companion from lakeside Wisconsin summer days to 50th floor dinners in downtown Dubai. Especially in the latter, a place that is both a literal desert and a metaphoric craft beer desert, the cloudy maltiness of a Franziskaner Weissbier offers an undeniable appeal.
