Craft Beer Guide to Colorado’s Oktoberfest Celebrations

Believe it or not, summer is once again drawing to a close, but before we dive into pumpkin spice bombs and fresh hop season, let us raise a liter to German-style beers with a round-up of Colorado’s craft beer-centric Oktoberfest celebrations. So lace up those dirndls and strap on the lederhosen it’s time for the beautifully crisp, easy-drinking, toasted malt forward profile of Oktoberfest Märzen Lagers. Beer: German-style beers from Verboten Brewing, Loveland Aleworks, Crow Hop Brewing Co, Big Beaver Brewing Co., Buckhorn Brewers llc, Big Thompson Brewery, and of course Grimm Brothers Brewery. The Baron Berliner Bar” will feature Grimm Bros’ traditional German Berlinerweisse, The Baron, with multiple flavored syrups for people to create their own berliner experience.<

Other Highlights: Thursday night Loveland Oktoberfest kicks off with a Barbarian Dinner featuring beer paired with bread, veggies and lots of meat. Bring your own knife but that’s the only utensil allowed. Tickets are $50 for the barbarian dinner. Music from Polka Folka on Friday, Nueve Polka and DJ Kaaos on Saturday, Food Vendors and Hammerschlagen!
