First GABF, Now Netflix: On Tour Brewing is Featured in Season 2 of “Easy”
On Tour Brewing has quickly made a name for itself on the national craft beer scene. First, they won gold in the Very Small Brewing Company and Very Small Brewing Company Brewer of the Year categories at GABF; now, their quaint brew spot in West Town is featured in Season 2 of the Netflix show, “Easy,” which is a Chicago comedy featuring the likes of Aubrey Plaza and Dave Franco.
If you’ve been following On Tour’s Instagram, you’ve probably seen some excitement from their handle around filming at the brewery. First, they had a *slight* brand redesign:
Then, fans were treated to a still shot of On Tour founder and brewer Mark Legenza appearing in a scene as an interested patron in a bar conversation at the aforementioned “Our Garage Brewery” (I’m happy they stuck with the original name.)
According to Communications Coordinator Zoe Krey, the Easy producers sought out On Tour as a potential filming spot early on: “They loved our space and thought it fit the script perfectly given that the brewing brothers in the show open up a brewery concept of their own. All of our equipment was brand new and we were still waiting on some in-taproom signage so the timing worked out perfectly for their filming and the rest is history. We essentially offered them a clean space to bring in their props and make it their own.”
To see more of On Tour’s cameo, tune into Easy Season 2, Episode 4, titled “Spent the Grain,” which is out now on Netflix. Happy binging!
