Revolution Brewing: Ryeway to Heaven, Gravedigger Billy & Vanilla Deth Release
The third release of Revolution’s Deep Wood series features an enticing variant of Deth’s Tar, a boozy rye ale and an excellent barrel-aged scotch ale. While Vanilla Deth will likely draw the longest lines, Gravedigger Billy stands out from the bunch, balancing barrel and booze perfectly.
All three will available in four-pack cans at Revolution’s Kedzie taproom. The release party starts at 4:00 p.m. and will feature one-off variants available only at the brewery.

Half Acre Big Hugs Tap Takeover at Will’s Northwoods Inn
This is one of the best under the radar events of the season. Will’s Northwoods Inn, the popular Packers bar, is showcasing the best of Half Acre’s 2018 Big Hugs. Patrons can sample the original Big Hugs, an imperial coffee stout, along with vanilla and bourbon-barrel aged variants and the delicious Benthic. The taps start pouring at 6:30 p.m.

Chicago Brewing District Holiday Trolley
If you’re looking to get in the festive mood and join a bar crawl, the West Side has you covered. The Chicago Brewing District is partnering with the Barrel Run again for a free holiday trolley that will run between the District’s breweries from 2-5 p.m. Stops include:
- All Rise / CTA Green Line
- On Tour Brewing Co.
- Great Central Brewing Co. / Goose Island

A Boozy #Southside Christmas Trolley Tour on The Beverly Ridge
Speaking of bar crawls, beer fans should turn their eyes south to the trending Open Outcry Brewing, which will be hosting its first ever Southside Christmas Trolley tour. For $37.99, beer fans get a trolley tour of Beverly Ridge’s finest Christmas-decorated homes and a crowler of Speculator Cream Ale for the ride. And once the party returns to Open Outcry, riders will be greeted by carolers, Santa and an Open Outcry ornament.
