What do you call these hazy IPAs that seem to be everywhere? This style goes by many names; NEIPA, Juicy IPA, Hazy IPA. But whatever you call these juice bombs it seems they’re here to stay and in full effect from coast to coast.

Here in Seattle, Fremont Brewing is certainly on top of their “haze game”. Fremont has become a Seattle staple over the last 10 years of serving beautiful beers locally and creating a solid name for themselves by delivering amazing barrel aged beers, hazies and really every style in-between. Located in the Fremont district of Seattle, Fremont Brewing has created a niche for themselves in this brewery rich neighborhood.

One of my favorite series that Fremont releases is Head Full of Dynamite. This series began January 2018 and is going strong with the 8th version released last month. The base malts and hops change each time but the common denominator is HAZE.

The current release, version 8 is hopped with Mosaic, Citra and Ekuanot and has a nose full of ripe melon, fuzzy peaches and a dash of dank. The first sip dances on your palate with effervescence. Juicy honeydew melon rushes in with bits of cantaloupe slurried throughout. Light and pillow mouthfeel with a slight ginger bite in the finish. Look for version 9 to be released in the Pacific Northwest in the next few weeks. Cheers!
