Details: Starting in August and going through October, this time of year is when farmers harvest the majority of their fruits and vegetables, which means fresh produce for our beers.

To kick off this amazing time of year, Wiley Roots decided to create some new beers, bring back some favorites, and collaborate with their friends. Starting at 12pm on Friday, August 9; 12pm on Saturday, August 10; and 1pm on Sunday, August 11; they will be releasing a limited amount of the following:

Mexican Lager Release and Taco Night @ Goldspot Brewing (Denver) – 4970 Lowell Blvd, Denver, Colorado

Date/ Time: Friday, August 9, 12:00pm – 11:00pm

Details: Join Goldpot for the release of their first beer in their Mexican lager series! This beer pairs perfectly with tacos from Carrera’s Taco Food truck, who will be on-site from 2pm-10pm. This Mexican lager is crisp, slightly sweet and utterly refreshing with notes of honey and light corn.

Details: If you guys keep drinking them, WestFax will keep canning it! They’re releasing some freshly canned Urban Lumberjack, Hazy IPA and Blootylicious, Blueberry Wheat this Friday, August 9th at 2PM!

Urban Lumberjack – 6.5%
One of our most beloved beers is this Hazy IPA brewed with 6 variety of hops (Citra, Azacca, El Dorado, Amarillo, Simcoe, Mandarina) producing a soft and juicy IPA with tropical notes of orange, nectarine, and mango.

Blootylicious – 5%
I don’t think you’re ready for this jelly. Blootylicious is our Blueberry Wheat that’s fruity, refreshing, effervescent and did we mention it’s loaded with blueberries?!

Undone Vol. 6 Juicy IPA with Strata Release @ Ratio Beerworks (Denver) – 2920 Larimer Street, Denver, Colorado

Details: Peel back the layers that comprise Ratio’s Undone Experimental IPA series to reveal a fusion of modern-day innovation and deep historical influences.

In celebrating the spirit of experimentation, the Undone IPA series has allowed Ratio to showcase different hop varietals, hopping techniques and sub-styles that have eventually lead to wider releases of Sparks Fly Juicy IPA and Dimed Out Double Juicy IPA.

This Friday, Ratio Beerworks is thrilled to introduce Undone IPA Vol. 6, a Juicy IPA featuring Strata hops. This new hop varietal lends notes of passionfruit, mango and citrus while finishing with a touch of dankness. Come enjoy the debut of Undone IPA Vol. 6 on Friday beginning at Noon.

Sorachi Ace SMaSM IPA Release @ Intrepid Sojourner Beer Project (Denver) – 925 W 8th Ave, Denver, Colorado

Details: The fourth installment of Intrepid Sojourner’s SMASH IPA Series highlights Sorachi Ace hops. Native to Japan, these hops bring notes of lemon, citrus, dill and cilantro. Pair with an array of tasty Peruvian dishes from Rumichaka Eats!

Their last iteration, Lemondrop SMASH, was gone in three days… grab a pint (or two) before they kick this small batch!

Details: Safta Restaurant excited to host Bacchanal—the celebrated New Orleans wine, food and music experience—for an outdoor festival at The Source Hotel on August 10-11, 2019. Details: Cerebral Brewing is transforming their humble parking lot into a tropical refuge of vibrant color and gloriously tacky tiki decorations.

That’s right – They’re hosting a Tiki Party.  For one day in August, Cerebral is bringing you Colfax Cove: a hidden retreat of inflatable pools, lounge chairs, umbrella beer drinks, misters, and the sweet sounds of surf rock to transport you to leisurely island-esque living. Bring your bikini and best aloha shirt and meet us at the tiki bar.

In honor of the theme, Cerebral will be releasing two versions of Forbidden Idol, their Sour IPA:

Details: Hog Haven Farm is turning FIVE and Resolute Brewing throwing a pool party to celebrate their amazing work! Details: Join Brewmented in their taproom for a free talk about yeast monitoring and contamination detection with Kelley Freeman from Beyers Analytical Brewing Sciences.

This informative presentation will cover:

– How to do yeast cell counts and the calculations used for yeast propagation
– What medias to use for yeast detection, yeast storage (yeast slants), and yeast contamination
– Bacterial contamination, media to use for detection, and ways to ID which bacteria are present
– Different detection techniques, selective media platting, PCR, and sequencing (how they work, what data you get from each, and how to use that data).
– Basic lab equipment that can be used to start monitoring your microbes.

There will be plates with different microbes growing for examples of colony morphology on different selective media. And after the presentation they will have a microscope set up for anyone who wants to take a look at yeast, bacteria, or do yeast cell counts.

There’s a beverage here that’s for strikes and gutters; ups and downs. And, I don’t know about you, but I take comfort in that. With coffee, vanilla and notes of chocolate, this is a beer that really ties it all together. But, well, that’s just, like, our opinion, man.

Details: Each year Hops in the Hangar welcome dozens of the Denver Metro area’s best breweries to their WWII-era hangar for an evening of friends, food and of course, fantastic local beer. This year’s event will also have RFID taste-tracking technology powered by Spigot Labs so you can remember all the tasty brews you tried and vote for your favorite breweries.

Tickets include unlimited beer tastings, Leon’s Popcorn, access to games, aircraft cockpits, live music from Mama Magnolia, and lots more. Designated drivers are FREE and will receive a water bottle and unlimited Kombucha from TruBucha and non-alcoholic beer and wine tastings from Gruvi.

Details: The Great American Beer Festival is just around the corner, and Timnath is excited to share their Pro-Am (professional–amateur) beer they’ll be entering into competition! They will be tapping the English Barleywine, originally brewed and created by home brewers Clint Emmons and Jon Tollefson.
