Sick Beer Release @ Liquid Mechanics Brewing Company (Lafayette) – 297 N. Hwy 287 Suite 100, Lafayette, Colorado

Date/ Time: Friday, August 16, from 1:00–11:00 p.m.

Details: Our beers are packaged up and waiting for you. The release is Friday August 16th at 1pm.

HUMULANOVA:
We’ve done Humulanova before as a single NEIPA. Gold medal winner at the 2019 Best Of Craft Beer Awards. This can release is an 8.9% ABV double NEIPA, using the same base recipe as Liquid Knowledge and Aurous Trigon. But with the same hops you loved in the single version of Humulanova… Galaxy and Vic Secret. In this double version, we used an absurd 6 lbs per barrel in the dry hop. Powerfull pineapple and citrus flavors and welcome hug-enducing warmth from the alcohol. $10.99/12 oz four-pack, no limit, limited distribution (if there is any left) starting 08/19.

RALLY ROUND THE FAMILY:
We filled wood bourbon barrels with an American barleywine over a year ago. We only had one barrel that we had to dump. The rest were spectacular. But one… one barrel stood out amongst it’s peers as being the best of the bunch. We decided to take a small pull from the barrel to bottle on it’s own. We have 70 bottles available. It’s easily in the top 5 beers we have ever created. Assuming of course you like bourbon and barleywines (we do). 12.5% ABV, $19.99 per 22oz bottle, limit one per person. No distribution. This beer will be entered into beer competitions.

POCKET FULL OF SHELLS:
Not to be outdone, this beer is a blend of the remaining RALLY ROUND YOUR FAMILY and the rest of the barrels that made our brewers cut. But this little gem is infused with toasted coconut and Madagascar vanilla beans to excite your senses. 12.5% ABV, $19.99 per 22oz bottle, limit two per person, 160 bottles available. No distribution.

Both bourbon barleywines pair well with Rage Against The Machine… you can catch Guerrilla Radio headlining our outside stage on Saturday Aug. 17th at 9pm. This RATM tribute band is coming to us hot after recently

Now onto the beers!!

Double Barrel Sweet Disposition

Way back in January of 2017, we brewed Sweet Disposition, the first of many collaborations we have done with Mikerphone Brewing out of Illinois. Since then, the folks at Mikerphone have become some our bestest friends in the whole wide world (not just the beer world), and like our friendship, that original beer has matured into something truly special– Double Barrel Sweet Disposition. After aging this imperial maple stout in freshly emptied bourbon barrels for 18 months, we selected four of the best barrels and racked them directly into a new batch of freshly emptied bourbon and maple bourbon barrels and aged them for an additional 12 months. Finally, after 30 months of barrel aging, we conditioned the beer with Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans at more than double the rate of the original release. 14.8% ABV
“Did we just become best friends?” Yes, yes we did.

DBSD will be available in 22 oz bottles to go for $40 each.

Double Barrel Medianoche: Rye Whiskey // Apple Brandy

The blend for this very special batch of Medianoche combines two of the best types of casks we have ever used at WeldWerks! The journey began by aging Medianoche, our overnight-boiled Imperial Stout, in four freshly emptied rye whiskey barrels for over 13 months. These American oak barrels were previously used to age rye whiskey produced from 100% unmalted rye for 10 years. After spending over a year in the rye whiskey barrels, we racked each Medianoche bourbon barrel into a second, freshly emptied apple brandy barrel for an additional 11 months. These casks began their lives as bourbon barrels and were then were used to age apple brandy for 12 years. After a combined 24 months in rye whiskey and apple brandy barrels, Double Barrel Medianoche is the ultimate expression of oak and spirit complexity that our barrel program has ever produced.

DBMRWAB will be available in 22 oz bottles to go for $36 each.

In addition to the two double barrel bottles, we will also be releasing four new cans, including our IPA collaboration with Odell Brewing Co, Citra Extra Extra Juicy Bits, Blackberry Cobbler Berliner, and Mocha Milkshake IPA.

Details: Join us on Saturday, August 17th at noon for the release of Contacto, an Orange Roussanne Wild Ale. Inspired by low intervention “orange” wines, this mixed-culture beer is a blend of many different years of wild and spontaneous beers pulled from oak wine casks and refermented on Roussanne grape must for three months. The name Contacto refers to the method of winemaking in which the grape skins are not separated from the juice during fermentation, typically resulting in a slightly rusty, orange hue.

With a balanced acidity and complex flavors and aromas, the beer showcases characteristics of oak and light wine grape subtleties. Bottles of Contacto will be available for $20 per 750ml bottle as well as on draft for on-site consumption. AND the first 20 people to buy a bottle will receive an OMF logo corkscrew/bottle opener, while the first 20 people to buy two bottles will receive that corkscrew/bottle opener as well as a new OMF wine glass.

With gratitude, cheers!
