Each year on Black Friday, millions of Americans shake off their tryptophan-induced comas brought on by the previous evening’s gorge fest, to shop off all their newly acquire calories. For die-hard beer fanatics, however, Black Friday has grown to represent a different kind of feeding frenzy.

Goose Island began the tradition of kicking off the holiday season with its yearly release of Bourbon County Brand Stout and its subsequent variants the day after Thanksgiving. And since BCBS’ popularity, countless other craft breweries have followed suit.

As we near Black Friday once again, we decided to round up Colorado’s Thanksgiving week and Black Friday beer releases already announced throughout. So get out and support local this year and skip the corporate-owned giant… because we live in Colorado and there are literally hundreds of incredible options in your backyard!

Circular Logic @ Primitive Brewing – 2025 Ionosphere St, Longmont, CO

Beers: Circular Logic – Technical: Blend of 3-, 2-, and 1-Year matured Méthode Traditionnelle Primitive Beers aged in Spirit Hound Distillers’ Honey Whiskey barrels. So here’s where it gets trippy; the barrels that crucially contributed to the flavor of this beer previously held Malt Whiskey, followed by Bee Squared Apiaries’ Longmont honey (to coalesce with the flavors offered by the spirit barrel), followed one more time by Malt Whiskey (to absorb the decadent flavors of local honey). To complete the proverbial circle, we procured a gallon of the whiskey barrel-aged honey, a gorgeously spirit-forward oaky nectar that preceded the last Whiskey fill of our barrel, to fuel bottle conditioning in our blend. ⁣

While many think of our small brewery in regard to Farmhouse Ales & perhaps our lager bier, we do enjoy brewing clean, crisp American hoppy ales on occasion. Langdon is a much tinkered with a recipe that has settled into a uniform make up the last couple go ’rounds. We really love where it’s at nowadays, and Langdon IPA even brought home a Bronze medal at the 2021 U.S. Beer Open Championships, a respected beer competition with over 8,000 entries from around America.

This batch of Langdon is lush with big notes of lime sorbet, and a really nice underpinning of juicy white grapes & Colorado pine. Choice New Zealand & American hops are countered by a nice little finespun malt bill of barley & wheat, wrapped up by a kiss of bitterness. This house American IPA rolls in at an even-keeled 6.9% ABV.

The goal was to create something that lives right on the edge between a more classic adjunct stout and the more modern dessert stouts and to present it amidst an absolutely massive base stout. Underworld Barista is bold and intense while also elegant and playful, capturing everything we love about affogato, by pairing intensity and viscosity with nuance and delicacy. Let the waves of roast hit you hard up front and then mellow into smooth, mouth coating vanilla with hints of almond and caramel dancing in the background. • • Coconut Anarchy Project Bourbon Barrel-Aged Russian Imperial Stout with Coconut  -Russian Imperial Stout aged in 6-year Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels with 25lbs/bbl of toasted coconut. Slight bourbon vanilla flavors blend perfectly with the toasted coconut and chocolate and roast coffee backdrop from the base beer. Straight Samoa Girl Scout Cookie flavor from the first sip through mid-swallow with hazelnut coffee, caramel, and warming bourbon aftertaste.
    $25 per 22oz. bottle, limit 3 bottles per person.
