Great Divide Brewing is Updating Its Look
Denver’s Great Divide Brewing Co. is freshening up its look. The brewery, celebrating its 28th anniversary later this year, is updating all of its cans, boxes and icons. Of course, beer fans will still see its infamous Yeti on its Imperial Stout but will notice a brighter scheme on its packaging as well as Great Divide in a bright red box.
“When I first started thinking about artistic representations of the beer I was brewing, I knew it had to be bold and eye-catching,” said Founder and President, Brian Dunn. “Over the years, as we released new brands, it was harder to keep everything within the same system so we stepped back and imagined a way to bring everything in-line while still maintaining the icon-centric design Great Divide is known for.”
Additionally, the bright color scheme carries throughout its entire canned lineup.
Interestingly, most of the can artwork uses a bright white font for the beer name except American Lager whose design gives the appearance of older lagers from the past.
Next, the new packaging features the motto “Independent Then/Independent Now” around the top of the can.
Expected Release Time for Great Divide’s Packaging
At this moment, six-packs have already started rolling off the canning line and craft beer enthusiasts can expect to see the entire Great Divide portfolio in refreshed packaging over the next several months.
In January 2021, Great Divide announced operations back to the original brewery on Arapahoe Street in Denver’s Ballpark Neighborhood. Following this, the brewery announced the sale of its Barrel Bar building but maintained its service in December of 2021.
“We’re excited to have everyone back under one roof,” said Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Kirk Simpson. “The new packaging ushers in a new era at Great Divide. We have the beer, we have the people, and we have the equipment to help spread the message, ‘We Still Believe!’ Expect big things from Great Divide over the next few months and beyond.”
