Event Preview | 2023 Denver Rare Beer Tasting
The events of GABF week in Denver are starting to come into focus, and the Denver Rare Beer Tasting is set to celebrate its 14th anniversary on Friday, September 22 with an always impressive lineup of breweries. This year features 64 different breweries, 22 of which are pouring for the first time ever at DRBT.
If you need a refresher on DRBT, check out last year’s pour list and PorchDrinking’s impressions from the event. Breweries indeed live up to the name of DRBT by bringing some of their rarest and most sought after beers, many of which would be extremely difficult to find anywhere else. In addition to an enviable beer list, attendees have the opportunity to speak with the people making the beer and gain insights into the creative processes that have led to the rare beers being poured.
In addition to the unlimited beer samples, attendees receive a buffet lunch, collectible tasting glass, commemorative shirt, program and pen. There will be a silent auction that features unique beer experiences and collectibles, and the opportunity to win an exclusive beer trip.
Best of all, the Denver Rare Beer Tasting benefits Pints for Prostates, a 501(c)3 non-profit charity that reaches people through the universal language of beer. All net proceeds go towards the group’s awareness mission, education and support programs and free prostate cancer screening programs. The Brewers Health Initiative, a free men’s health screening, will be offered at the event for those men interested in a free health check.
