With a price increase and the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild releasing the brewery lineup before the event for the first time ever, there seems to be more talk about FoBAB than in recent years.

3 Floyds’ 2018 Dark Lord Day Announced
October 30, 2017 | Mike Zoller3 Floyds Brewing Company has announced that 2018 Dark Lord Day will be on May 19th. This is a week later than last year when the event was on May 13th, and the second straight year the event is in May after traditionally being in late April.No date has been announced for tickets to go on-sale, but tickets for the 2017 Dark Lord Day were available for purchase on March 18th and sold out quickly.

New Rare & Wild Beer Fest Comes To The Field Museum

Mikerphone Brewing, Toppling Goliath Talk Beer Releases
September 19, 2017 | Mike Zoller 1Beer releases are a tricky thing. As more and more people take an interest in craft beer, the next release of a hazy NE-IPA, mix culture barrel-aged wild/sour, or big barrel-aged stout are getting more hyped, more complex and trickier for the brewery to manage. There is no such thing as a perfect release, however, breweries today are doing their best to figure out how to get their beer out to their customers.
Whether it’s a smaller/newer brewery like Mikerphone Brewing, or a more established one like Toppling Goliath, the logistics behind releasing highly sought-after beer are nothing simple.

WarPigs Brewing | Lazurite
September 8, 2017 | Mike ZollerIn 2015, 3 Floyds Brewing Co. and Mikkeller opened up WarPigs Brewpub in Copenhagen. Now the two have teamed up to open up a location here called WarPigs Brewing in the United States, and now their beers are available throughout the Midwest. Their flagship beer, Lazurite, is a big fruity IPA that is quickly becoming a fan favorite.
