Vine Street Brewing to Make History

Vine Street Brewing will be making history in June by becoming Missouri’s first black-owned brewery. The ascension of Vine Street Brewing is similar to the legendary Tupac Shakur’s poem, “The Rose That Grew From Concrete.” A black-owned brewery, with black brewers, in a predominantly black neighborhood took root in the concrete. Wondrously, in an area that has been forgotten by its own city, a brewery began to flourish. Now those vines are beginning to climb the scaffold of society restoring beauty and wealth to its own community.
Pathlight Brewing | No Touchy Barleywine

Pathlight Brewing of Shawnee, Kansas, joined the ranks of events that nobody saw coming in February. Random flying objects drifting across the country. Rihanna revealing her pregnancy during the Super Bowl. Recent GABF silver medal winner City Barrel Brewing in Kansas City, Missouri is known locally for numerous attributes — Innovative beer, gourmet food and a stellar taproom to name a few. Their beers usually don’t stay on bottle shop shelves very long, and their newest release, Neon Flamingos IPA, flew off of shelves quicker than usual once local enthusiasts found out it was a collaboration with soon-to-open brewery Vine Street Brewing.

Cartoon characters Bart Simpson, Cap N Crunch, as well as the restaurant In-N-Out have somehow made it onto trendy IPA cans across America. Instead of taking the easy road and stealing intellectual property, Main & Mill Brewing Co. has decided to combine their love of art, baseball, and beer with charity. A can with a cause.
