The 6th Annual Big Texas Beer Fest is back and bigger than ever. Spanning two sessions, this year’s festival features beers from 120 breweries with 500+ beers to sample from. This festival is well known to feature exclusive/rare beers, one-offs and special firkins. Truly committed to making each year bigger and better, this year delivers with a fresh new concept. The festival has partnered with local favorite Noble Rey Brewing Company and Free Play Richardson (a vintage arcade) to bring attendees with a one-of-a-kind experience that will take them back to their youth. An “Arcade Alley” will be on site and will allow attendees to relive those childhood memories with an array of those favorite vintage arcade games loved so much. Let’s see how those Galaga skills holds up after a couple of beers.

Happy Birthday to me! Untapped is back and furious than ever hosting five events through out Texas returning to Fort Worth for its fourth year this upcoming Saturday. Lucky for me, this date falls exactly on my birthday so you know a full, blown celebration is ahead. Featuring 80 breweries and over 300 beers to choose from plus a stellar lineup of musical guests. Event Preview | Austin Burning CAN (Not Just A) Beer Festival

Originally based in Colorado, Oskar Blues Brewery announced plans to open up a third brewery in Austin in Mid-May — we couldn’t be more excited to have a piece of OB in Texas. 5th Annual Big Texas Beer Fest makes its return to Fair Park in Dallas. Having successfully hosted the event for four consecutive years, this year’s event will be spanned across 2 days. This is the first 2-day beer festival for North Texas, and will feature beers from 140 different breweries (55+ just from the state of Texas,) making for 500+ beers to sample from. You can expect to find exclusive/rare beers, one-offs, and special firkins to choose from. VIP ticket holders are allowed access to the event an hour prior to General Admission.

Four Corners Brewing Co. | Notorious O.A.T.

Dallas local favorite, Four Corners Brewing Co., is based in the developing “fly” part of West Dallas called Trinity Groves. Trinity Groves is known for its contemporary eats and “dope” view of Downtown Dallas and the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. Beer Showcase | Mardi Gras Beers

Louisianans sure know how to party! Beads, Bourbon and Beer take over the lovely days during Mardi Gras season.

Mardi Gras, French for Fat Tuesday, refers to the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, the last hurrah before the start of the Lenten season. This means no more indulging yourself with rich food, delectable-colorful King Cake and alcoholic beverages for most. Though not everyone practices the religious tradition of this “fasting” season, it is a celebration that happens worldwide. Exotic festival colors fill this time with hues of bright green, purple and gold. Everyone joins in this celebration but no one has quite perfected it than those from my Louisiana neighbors. Festivities include parades with custom-built lavish floats, costumed performers and filled with copious amounts of booze. To kick off the Fat Tuesday festivities, I present two Mardi Gras beers for your Fat Tuesday celebrations.
