DelaWeAre, a statewide collaboration organized by the Delaware Brewers Guild, returns this fall. Fourteen breweries from across the Small Wonder will be releasing their version of the beer in the coming days. Stout season is in full swing in the First State, so brewers have worked up a rendition of this style. Beer drinkers might assume something dark, roasty and heavy. However, Stout is a pretty broad category, so expect to see a variety of ABVs, IBUs and even SRMs across Delaware.

Moving from San Diego to a small coastal town in Delaware was not as hard as one might imagine. Arriving to the East Coast in mid-January, I immediately missed the nearly perfect weather, but have now embraced seasonality and the beauty of change. When I find myself longing for SoCal, it’s not the sunshine, the surf or the endless summer that I am missing, it’s the beer.
