Denver’s Avanti F&B (Food & Beverage), presented by Shinola, is throwing a New Belgium Brewing Beer Cocktail Party on Monday, August 13, from 6 pm to 9 pm, and you are invited. Guests receive a complimentary New Belgium Beer upon arrival, taste the 10 competitors cocktails and help select a winner.
The grand prize winning bartender receives a spectacular Shinola watch. But the night is more than about winning and losing: “This contest was designed to be low impact for contestants, and a fun celebration of our community,” notes Avanti.

The craft beer industry was founded on the pillars of community, collaboration and inclusiveness. However, in an industry so historically dominated by men, those ideals haven’t always (and sometimes still) don’t apply so openly to women. Even today, we see examples of misogyny, sexual harassment and unequal treatment in the workplace lingering from the “old boy’s club” mentality that so rampantly pervaded those who previously ran America’s beer establishment.

Colorado’s craft beer scene embraces many different philanthropies, including the conservation community. It’s not surprising as they have many things in common. After all, the environmental sector and beer industry are both dependent on water, a vital—and increasingly scarce—resource in the drought-stricken west.
This past Saturday, conservationists, brewers and beer lovers gathered at Goldspot Brewing Company, located in the Berkeley neighborhood of Denver, and sampled a beer made with all-Colorado ingredients created in honor of Conservation Colorado’s annual Save the Ales Beer Festival.

New Belgium’s Tour de Fat Returns to Denver, Featuring Jamestown Revival

After a year hiatus, New Belgium’s Tour de Fat has been revived and refreshed for a return to Denver, CO. The 19-year-old celebration of biking, beers, music and philanthropy returns to the Mile High City after a year of tinkering and will take place August 25 from 12-5pm in Denver’s Sculpture Park.

The Arizona Craft Brewer’s Guild wasn’t able to host a beer festival pool party, so they did the next best thing and will be hosting Arizona’s premier craft beer festival, Real Wild & Woody, on July 28, 2018 in the air conditioning at the Phoenix Convention Center.
