Over the weekend, Duluth’s Good Word & Public House hosted their second annual “Little Beer” fest, which saw 60+ breweries bring their best low ABV (mostly ~5% and lower) beers to the tables for craft drinkers to enjoy all day long. Oh, and there was snow — which for Georgia in April what the hell was that?! Read More

Event Recap | 2022 Side Project Invitational
April 14, 2022 | Eric GriffinIt has been just over two years since the inaugural Side Project Invitational came and went, setting a new standard for craft beer festivals. Not long after its debut on February 2, 2020, the entire world was shaken by the COVID-19 pandemic, the effects of which are continuing to bare their teeth even into the early parts of 2022. It hasn’t all been bad, though. On January 31, Side Project announced the second Invitational, which was to include not only Barrel-Aged Stouts & Barleywines, but instead all varieties of oak-aged beer. This, to the joy of many, was set to include the wild, the funky and the sour.

State of the Craft Beer Industry Report
April 13, 2022 | Julie RhodesAfter surviving a dismal Q1 of 2022, the craft beer industry can finally breathe a sigh of relief and look forward to more sunny skies for the remainder of 2022. A recent smattering of craft beer industry updates from trade associations, allied trade partners, and data aggregates are providing craft breweries more light at the end of their pandemic market tunnel. The general consensus is optimistic, whether it’s Bart Watson from the Brewers Association relaying his confidence about 2022 for craft brewers or 76% of craft brewers themselves waxing positive about sales growth this year in the 2022 Brewing Growth Trends Report from Arryved. It’s time to break out your sunglasses beer folks, let’s take a look at the brighter state of the craft beer industry (with some occasional clouds) heading into the remainder of 2022.
Elsewhere Brewing | Save the Sacks Helles Lager
April 13, 2022 | Brandon CohranThere are plenty of blurred lines when marketing in the craft beer industry, but when it’s tastefully done a beer can really stand out in the crowd. Atlanta’s own Elsewhere Brewing once again nailed that feat with the new release in their “Beer For a Cause” series. The new release in the series, Save the Sacks Helles Lager, takes testicular cancer to heart and in an obvious way. Save the Sacks was released on the first of April, which is testicular cancer awareness month, and it’s no joke. Read More

Beers of the Month | March 2022
April 8, 2022 | Brandon Cohran 1It’s almost impressive that a quarter of the year is already in the books. Maybe it’s the increase of activity from the last two years in a COVID world, but the first few months of 2022 has kept drinkers happy and fridges full with beer events and special releases across the country. We certainly can’t make every event, or pop every top, but we’re giving it hell to try and find some of the best beers monthly to showcase. From Lagers to Barrel-aged Stouts and all of the dry-hopped IPAs in between, who knows which beers or styles will make this monthly list. So, grab a glass and, potentially, one of the beers featured for March. Cheers.
