September 11, 2015 | Kathleen Morton

PorchDrinking Playlist | 1986
September 8, 2015 | Chris & Sylvia Hollands
Hello PD family! Our last playlist got us thinking. We mentioned 1986, so we thought let’s do a playlist involving that year. Sure we could have taken the easy route and picked the top songs or the best songs from thrash music’s Big Four — Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer’s iconic albums released nearly three decades ago (hmm, keeping that one in mind for the future). Nope, we made a list of songs from vocalists born in the year 1986.

My Night at Eleven Madison Park | A Lesson in the Do’s and Don’ts of Fine Dining
September 7, 2015 | John GrisantiThere are moments in a cook or food junky life that one will never forget – those moments we have been planning for so long that when the occasion finally arises you simply don’t know what to think. Two years ago, I had one of those “pinch me” moments in New York City. I was about to eat at Eleven Madison Park, a three Michelin star restaurant currently ranked No. 5 in the world on the prestigious San Pellegrino Top 100 Restaurants List. As a complete nerd about food and the total dining experience, for me this was Mecca! Add on top of that a beer cellar that rivals many of the best beer cafes in the world and you have one hell of a night ahead! Let’s just say I was a little too excited.
Roundtable Discussion | Favorite Taproom Features
September 2, 2015 | Lindsay Krumel
While the quality of a brewery’s beer is of the utmost importance, the atmosphere in which that beer is enjoyed also factors into the overall drinking experience. This week, Tristan asked the PorchDrinking staff for the extra touch that really makes a brewery’s tap room stand out.

Who Said It: Donald Trump or a Complete Asshole?
August 27, 2015 | Drew Troller
Haha, that Donald Trump guy is so wacky! The things he says are so zany and OUT THERE and awesome, right? It’s so funny seeing that guy from “The Apprentice” run for President, especially since he doesn’t talk or act like normal politicians. Refreshing, right? Even if he IS a bit outlandish at times. But it’s quirky and fun. Which is why so many sites are playing that game of “Who Said It: Donald Trump or ___?” He’s been compared to cartoonish TV characters and at least a couple actual cartoons.
So here’s someone else we can compare Donald Trump’s quotes to, just to point out how entertaining his madcap eccentricity is. Take this quiz and see if you can tell who said it: Donald Trump or a Complete Asshole? Read More

This time last year we found ourselves in the middle of summer and a social media frenzy. The buzz was everywhere with the ‘brrr’ of buckets being gleefully poured over anxious participants. Being nominated to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge ourselves, we experienced the excitement firsthand. It’s great to have fun while spreading awareness about a serious condition (and not to mention raising some serious cash to benefit research to find a cure). Read More
