Off Color Brewing & Miller High Life Releasing Collaboration Saturday
October 12, 2016 | Mike ZollerBig meets small. Corporate meets…well whatever the most opposite of corporate can be. That was my initial thought when I heard that Off Color Brewing and Miller High Life were collaborating on a beer together. The result – Eeek! an American Wild Ale set for release this Saturday at Off Color.
Sierra Nevada Brewing Company | Torpedo Extra IPA
October 12, 2016 | SimonABV: 7.2% | IBU: 65
I have written my last couple reviews on some hard to get IPAs (the kind that you have to wait in line for and are gone within a matter of hours), so I figured it makes sense to write about a more readily available brew.

2016 GABF Awards Result in Error, The Rise of New Breweries and More
October 11, 2016 | Cory PelcThis year’s 2016 Great American Beer Festival Awards Ceremony was anything but dull. To celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the Festival, the Brewers Association, the trade organization that puts on the event, assembled a much more polished performance in recognizing the industry’s best.
Tired Hands Brewing Company | Ourison
October 11, 2016 | Karl Kalinkewicz 1It’s been hotter than Hansel in Los Angeles the past few weeks and when the temperatures rise, I start moseying into the sour/saison realm for refreshment. Luckily, I had a bottle of Tired Hands Brewing Company Ourison to help cool me. Straight out of Ardmore, Pennsylvania, I enjoy Tired Hands for its unfiltered yet refined farmhouse and sour ales that regularly have unusual style and ingredient combos. For instance, Woodlahands, a Flanders oud bruin with mushrooms added, is an example of the type of beer that emanates from the Tired Hands Fermentaria, and I’m all about it.
SweetWater Brewing Company | SweetWater 420 Extra Pale Ale
October 10, 2016 | John BaumABV: 5.7% IBU: 41
When does something reach official classic status? Is there a committee? Are there longevity rules? Popularity requirements? No matter. What’s really at stake here, dear reader, is the over-proliferation of the term “classic.”
Wiley Roots Brewing Company | Super 77 Wheat
October 7, 2016 | David ThompsonABV: 4.7% | IBU: 12
Winning a medal at GABF is a big deal, and for a craft brewer it could be validation of years of work and passion. Three years ago, it was Kyle Carbaugh, the self described “Grand Poobah” at the then GABF rookie Wiley Roots Brewing Company who felt that validation when their Super 77 Wheat took home the Bronze Medal. 12 Must-Visit Denver Breweries You Won’t Find at GABF
October 5, 2016 | Chris DayThe Great American Beer Festival is huge. With almost 800 breweries on the roster, it feels like you have the whole craft beer world at your fingertips when you step on that tasting floor. However, it’s easy to forget that some Colorado breweries aren’t participating, even ones a few minutes away from the convention center. While we love GABF, it would be a shame to visit Denver without checking out a few of these fantastic local breweries. Read More
Founders Brewing Co. | Mosaic Promise
October 5, 2016 | Kane McLoughlinCraft beer has always been about the story. If you can make oatmeal, you can probably make beer. That’s the easy part. Beer comes in different shades of colors and styles. Yet, despite the basics of brewing being so simple, we are still drawn to drinking and discovering all the different styles and interpretations brewers put on our favorite liquid courage.

October 3, 2016 | Tristan ChanThis is a sponsored post
Heading into town for GABF? There’s a ton to consider, special tappings, beer dinners, mini-festivals, meet the brewer opportunities, and of course the festival itself. But one thing you WON’T want to miss out on is the opportunity to stock your beer cellar with two empty suitcases worth of specialty bottles and cans.
Goose Island Beer Co. | Brewery Yard
October 3, 2016 | Mike ZollerWhen drinking your favorite craft beer, how often do you think about the history behind it? To be honest there isn’t a lot of history behind most craft beer. In an industry that isn’t very old and more typically focuses on the new and exciting release, history often doesn’t make its way into craft beer. But Goose Island’s Brewery Yard is one beer that features a unique and interesting historical tale.
Event Recap | Mainline Ale House & Odell Brewing Co. Fall Beer Dinner
September 30, 2016 | Cecelia KathleenTwo beer-centric establishments of Fort Collins, Mainline Ale House and Odell Brewing Company, joined forces last Friday night in bringing roughly forty attendees an unforgettable four course beer dinner. At the start of dinner, Mainline’s Executive Chef Justin Burdick really emphasized sourcing local ingredients (shout out to the Fort Collins Farmers Market) and fall-forward flavors. The Mainline kitchen did not disappoint in delivering four thoughtful, tasty pairings to accompany always-solid Odell beers. Moreover, after Chef Justin discussed each dish, Odell beer representative Alex Cousins presented the story, style, and flavors of the beers during each respective course. Overall, Mainline’s motto, “A passion for beer and food you can taste,” could not have been more evident over the course of this event!
