Wild Provisions Beer Project | 12°P Premium Pale Czech-Style Lager
January 20, 2021 | Korey DavidInnovation in our modern craft beer world typically means more. More hops! More fruit! More marshmallow! More, more, more! That’s why it’s refreshing to see what brewers like Wild Provisions Beer Project out of Boulder, CO are doing to push the envelope on beer without jamming it full of fruit purée and Lucky Charms. What makes a beer like Wild Provisions 12°P Premium Pale Lager, or PPL, one of the best beers in the world is the fact that their beer is so… simple. No adjuncts, additives or flavoring agents. A real Reinheitsgebot poster child.

Behind the Beer Scene | Sleeping Giant Explains Contract Brewing
January 14, 2021 | Scott GrossmanAlthough it’s one of Colorado’s top five independent craft brewers by volume, Sleeping Giant Brewing Company neither serves nor sells beer onsite. While this may seem counter-intuitive, Sleeping Giant is a dedicated contract brewer, meaning it only produces beer for other breweries–it has no beer brand of its own. Matthew Osterman, founder and owner, recently discussed this important and little-understood part of the craft brewing industry.

What We’re Drinking | December 4, 2020
December 4, 2020 | Brandon CohranDecember is here, so let’s light the trees and count down the days until 2020 are over. This week started with a wintry mix, which is rare in Georgia, but brought a week’s worth of surprises. An elf seemingly wandered from the North Pole to my house as decoration. From the string lights on most surfaces, to the garland-wrapped bar car, I think I’m only missing the sleigh and reindeer. Maybe those are coming in the next few weeks? Until we get there, here is What We’re Drinking.

Every couple of months, Molly’s connects with a Colorado brewery to develop a beer that is then packaged. Molly’s handles the exclusive distribution of the co-branded beer. Read More

In addition to your personal plans being put on hold, small and large brewers alike have been forced to make tough decisions to adapt to the current climate. Let’s be real, a good laugh and a beer might be more important now than ever.
Strange Craft Beer Company | Happy Hour Czech Session Lager
July 22, 2020 | Scott GrossmanIn the mid-summer heat a cold, crisp lager hits the spot and Strange Craft Beer Company’s Happy Hour lager is no exception. The Czech session beer has just enough complexity to keep things interesting but doesn’t overdo it and make you overexert yourself on a hot summer afternoon.

This Colorado brewery has lived a nomadic existence since its founding in 2015 and finally closed on a new permanent taproom in Aurora in February 2020, weeks before the virus changed American life. Founders Betsy Lay, Kate Power and Jen Cuesta planned to open their doors on April 18, but now the trio is exploring what it means to launch a taproom when no one is allowed to visit.
