Great Divide’s Barrel Aged Classics Say Goodbye For Now With Limited Edition Box Set
June 5, 2017 | Cory PelcGreat Divide’s Barrel Aged series will be going into hibernation, no pun intended. As the #YetiMafia can attest to the true disappointment that this may bring to us all, don’t fret. There is a silver lining, (read: thin veil of white foam) and that may just make up for its hiatus.
Great Divide Brewing Co. Announce Changes to their 2017 Beer Lineup
January 12, 2017 | Cory PelcFounded in Denver in 1994, Great Divide is one of the most decorated breweries in America.
And while holding down the proverbial fort for two plus decades require consistency and continuity in product, branding and ethos, that doesn’t mean a brewery doesn’t enjoy putting things on the back burner and brewing up something new. Great Divide has announced their overhaul for 2017 beer releases, and sure, some things will take a hiatus, other gems will get a chance to shine. We’re talking brand new year-round beers, changes to barrel-aged beers, new packaging options and new brews headed to cans!
Ultimate 6er | Christmas Cookie & Beer Pairings
December 14, 2016 | Holly GerardIt’s that time of year again for Christmas Cookie and Beer Pairings! Our first edition of this pairing theme kicked off last year as you may remember, and I was very excited to bring it back for a second time this year. I was torn between sticking to all American brews for this year’s edition or if I should add some of those fantastic Belgian Christmas Ales in the mix, but then decided that this year’s version should be strictly All-American. There were definitely some great options for pairing. Also, just like last year, I did some homemade cookies and some store-bought for those of you that like to bake and for those of you that would prefer not to. Now let’s get on to the goods!
Ultimate 6er | Surviving the Snow Days
December 6, 2016 | Andrew SharpThe snow is falling in parts of the country. While some states have yet to see its first flurries, others got over 20 inches of snow over night this month. Before the snow piles so high we give up and resign ourselves to the couch, filling our days with binge watching Netflix, we’d like to offer a few choices for provisions to stock up on. Better prepared than sober, I say.
Ultimate 6er | Rio Olympians
August 24, 2016 | Dan OldsI admit, even after three days I am going through an Olympic withdrawal. During the previous two weeks my free time was totally consumed by everything from table tennis and synchronized swimming to gymnastics and track and field. I set my alarm for a Sunday morning to watch the men’s marathon and stayed up late to watch the beach volleyball finals. Our American athletes did phenomenally, winning 121 total medals (46 gold, 37 silver and 38 bronze). In honor of them I built my own 6er so I could give cheers to the athletes that make me proud to be an American. Read More

Cooking with Beer | Grilled French Toast with Rumble Syrup
August 7, 2014 | Chelsea Mitchell 1You’ll never eat regular French toast again. Really, I’m not kidding, you won’t. Also, you most definitely will not go back to that plain, boring pancake syrup found hidden in the aisles of Safeway. Just. Say. No.
With this recipe, I shall convert you to a lover of the oaked goodness that is Rumble syrup. In case you need a little extra convincing, I’m throwing it on top of grilled French toast… that is first cooked in bacon fat. Yeah, you read that right – French toast, cooked in bacon fat, then grilled and finally topped with a glorious syrup made from a fantastic oak aged IPA. Let’s get ready to Rumble! Read More
Great Divide | 20th Anniversary Celebration Recap
June 18, 2014 | Cory Pelc 1This past Saturday we celebrated Great Divide Brewing Company’s 20th Anniversary with 2,000 of our hop cone compatriots in Denver, CO!
A long, line of craft beer connoisseurs formed on Brighton Boulevard. Cars slowly passed by looking for open parking spaces; patrons cruised in on their two wheelers and entered into the queue for bicycle valet (free courtesy of our friends over at Denver B-Cycle). A line of kegs outlined the entryway with Great Divide staff members donned in their 20th anniversary red shirts and sporting the largest of smiles. They knew what we were in for as we were wrist banded. . .
Great Divide 19th Anniversary Ale
May 16, 2013 | Kristin HubbardABV – 10.2%
The song “Minotaur” by Thee Oh Sees epitomizes the swirly sway motion of the booze bomb known as Great Divide 19th Anniversary Ale. A roasty molasses nose gives way to an almost dark rum booziness while the sweet birch syrup is complimented with a dry woody finish. Read More
