Fort George Brewery | City of Dreams
October 3, 2018 | Rachyl FojtikDoes anyone else feel like mere mortals when walking into an iconic brewery? We put these places on pedestals because it’s more than beer; it’s an art and art should be praised and marveled. Fort George Brewery is one of those places in the Pacific Northwest, having created an epic name for themselves in the town of Astoria, Oregon. A lovely way to celebrate the brewery and its home city is with its City of Dreams New England Style Pale Ale.
Rogue Ales & Spirits | 6 Hop IPA
March 9, 2017 | Mathew PowersABV: 6.66% | IBU: 87
If Hamm’s is the beer from the land of sky blue waters, Rogue is the beer from the land of hop green farms (and amber waves of grain). Any doubt about this notion is removed after taking one sip of Rogue 6 Hop IPA. The Rogue collaboration with Mother Nature incorporates a harvest’s worth of wheat, rye, yeast, hops and “free range coastal water,” for a beer that is super hoppy, but presents far more to drinkers than just existing as a “hoppy beer.”
BREAKING | TRVE Brewing to Launch Colorado Distribution of Burial Beer & The Commons
February 22, 2017 | Tristan ChanAmerican craft beer has always been an industry that has thrived off strong relationships and mutual respect. One of the best perks about living in Seattle is being a hop, skip and a jump from Portland, Oregon – a city overflowing with places to fill your pint glasses. And during my last trip south, there was one spot in particular at the tippy top of my list: Great Notion Brewing.
Deschutes Brewery | Armory XPA and Sagefight Imperial IPA
December 27, 2016 | David ThompsonArmory XPA ABV: 5.9% | IBU: 55
Sagefight Imperial IPA ABV: 8.0% | IBU: 75
I spent the first few of my formative beer drinking years living in Portland, Oregon, where IPAs are king. Like a child who doesn’t like broccoli, I was naive about hoppy, aromatic beers and stuck to sweeter beers as much as I could. But alas, a beer drinker can repent of their beer drinking sins, and however naive I once was, I have seen the light.
Rogue Ales and Spirits | Honey Kolsch
July 22, 2016 | Kara Loo and Kelissa HieberABV: 5% | IBU: 26
“We grow bees. Taste the difference.” These two sentences are the only tasting remarks for Honey Kolsch ale, as featured on Rogue’s website. Their brazen, to-the-point statement speaks … Read More
