2 Days 2 Nights | Midcoast Maine
September 15, 2020 | Kailey PartinMaine, the northernmost state of the contiguous United States, is known for its bearded lobstermen and lumberjacks, the freshest seafood, wild blueberries and high-quality craft beer–it’s no wonder the state’s nickname is Vacationland. In summer 2020, living in Maine is something to cherish. Although the pandemic canceled most travel plans, living in this secluded state allows for fun and fulfilling “staycations” to shake off those quarantine blues.

What We’re Drinking | August 28, 2020
August 28, 2020 | Brandon Cohran2020 seems to be the perfect example of one step forward, about a billion steps back. Nationwide there are still protests revolving around police brutality, and although sports have come back, they do not seem certain to last. Oh, and in the southeast, from Louisiana to Texas, there is a major storm headed on its way. Keep those people in your thoughts over the next few days. This trip around the sun has really been something, but for this week at least, here is What We’re Drinking.
What We’re Drinking | May 8, 2020
May 8, 2020 | Pam CatoeMost of us are going on week seven or eight, (wait, what week is it?) of shelter-in-place, and life as we know it is completely upside down. Personally, I’ve been doing beer-to-go runs every week to make sure my fridge is stocked with the best of the best fresh beer from my local breweries and brewpubs to help me get through these crazy times. Over at PorchDrinking.com, we are here for you, so we are happy to help you decide what beers to pick up this week and continue supporting your local beer scene. Here’s What We’re Drinking week 7 (?) quarantine edition.
2 Days 2 Nights | Portland, Maine (Part 2)
August 27, 2019 | Taylor LaabsI had to divide up this Two Days Two Nights feature due to how many great breweries I experienced during my trip. While Part One features highlights on Allagash, Industrial Way, Bissell Brothers and more, Part Two features a full experience of Portland’s trending Yeast Bayside brewery scene along with a particularly scenic trip farther north up the coast to visit some of Maine’s more interesting farmhouse breweries. So, let’s kick back off with the second part of Friday afternoon, which revolved around a trip to downtown Portland, home to the trendy Yeast Bayside brewing district.
What We’re Drinking | August 23, 2019
August 23, 2019 | Pam CatoeSo school has started and it’s supposed to be sorta the beginning of fall. I don’t know where you are right now, but where I’m sitting we are about to hit a record consecutive days with 100-degree heat. It’s really, really hot. So what goes well with the insanely ridiculous heat? Air conditioning and a great craft beer. I’m probably the pickiest about my beer choices this time of year than any other, so take a look at what the PorchDrinking team is enjoying to help you beat the heat (unless you live somewhere with pleasant weather–in which case these are still great choices–and can I come visit?).
The Weekly Buzz | July 14 – 20
July 21, 2017 | Dan BortzHappy Friday, PorchDrinkers! Another beautiful beer-soaked weekend is upon us, and that means it is time to recap the week’s finest beer-related tweets. You could just go to Twitter and scroll through it yourself, but why subject yourself to all that political vitriol? I braved the trolls so you wouldn’t have to. So sit down on your porch swing and crack open a beer. It’s time to start The Weekly Buzz.
