The Weekly Buzz | August 24 – 30
August 31, 2018 | Dan BortzIt is so hot in my house that I want to purchase a walk-in freezer to live inside. The worst part of this summer hasn’t even been the heat. The rain has been far more oppressive in the Northeast. In the last two weeks, I have pumped more water out of my basement than I did in the two years prior. It’s insanity. Good thing Climate Change is a hoax, or we’d really be screwed! Anyhoo… I found some beer stuff on social media, so I copied and pasted it for you to read. Welcome to The Weekly Buzz.

The Weekly Buzz | February 23 – March 1
March 2, 2018 | Dan BortzI barely drank any beer this week. The disappointment is very real. What compounds these feelings of regret is that I had to search for fun beer things on Twitter and Instagram all week. I do this all for you, dear readers. If I don’t, who will? I mean… I know you could just do it yourselves, but I like to feel important. Enjoy this edition of The Weekly Buzz!

The Veil Brewing Company | Broz Night Out
January 2, 2018 | Cristie ShullIs anyone reading this a fan of Stranger Things? Have you heard of it? Okay, I’m probably crazy for even asking that question. My point, of course, is not about the show on Netflix. However, if you’ve seen the show, then you would most likely recognize the label of a particular beer, Broz Night Out, made by The Veil Brewing Company.

March 31, 2017 | Dan BortzIt’s been another grueling week, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. That light, of course, is the glowing neon of your local watering hole. Just as your favorite bartender is ready to listen to your woes, The Weekly Buzz is hear to brighten your day. So, kick that weird guy off of your favorite stool, belly up to the bar, and enjoy this week’s latest craft beer buzz. Oh… and don’t forget to drink a delicious beer. That’s an important part of the process.
What We’re Drinking | March 3, 2017
March 3, 2017 | Dan BortzNo matter what your views on climate change are, there is no denying that spring is arriving ridiculously early in many parts of the country. Perhaps it was brought on by the unseasonable warm weather, but the PorchDrinkers enjoyed quite a few IPAs this week. That wasn’t all we drank, though! There were sours for fun, flights for variety and a little something special at the end. If you spent your whole week at work (or laid up with back pain like me), prepare to live vicariously through us. This is What We’re Drinking.

In my experience, there has been no brewery to grow faster from its amazing quality and devoted fanbase than The Veil Brewing Company. Thirsty audiences would flock across the state to Richmond every Tuesday to get their hands on The Veil’s collection of canned jewels. Those of us familiar with the East Coast trading scene would see The Veil’s collection of juicy, New England-style IPAs to give them a breakthrough of success on the level of Lawson’s Finest Liquids in Vermont or Tree House Brewing Company in Massachusetts.
