Hola, PorchDrinkers! If someone were to ask you about your favorite Baja beer, what would your answer be? As a former Southern California resident, the first couple beers that come to my mind are two beachside favorites, Corona and Dos Equis. What if I told you there is such a thing as Mexican craft beer and in less than a week you can try these amazing brews?!

At the tail-end of this year’s San Diego Beer Week, we’ll be headed to San Diego to attend the first annual BAJA BEER CRAFT TASTING EVENT, hosted at the Mingei International Museum on Friday, November 13th from 6-9pm.

Sponsored by Discover Baja Travel Club, and presented by Baja Test Kitchen in partnership with Mingei International Museum, this event will bring together some of the best craft breweries from Baja California, paired with “BajaMex” beer food from Celebrity Chef Chad White of Común Kitchen & Tavern (San Diego) and Chef Marco Rodriguez of La Justina (Tijuana).

Also, the event will feature live music from reggae/pop artist Quino of Big Mountain, a curated “Day of The Dead Altar” installation, free entrance to Chad White’s Beer Industry After-Party, and more. Come meet the brewmasters, learn about their craft, and celebrate the spirited movement that is BAJA BEER CRAFT!
