WeldWerks Brewing Announces On-Site Restaurant & Colorado Springs Update

A one-two punch of good news came from Weldwerks Brewing Company today. Their Greeley, Colorado-based taproom is known for a lot of things: the funky artwork, surprise Medianoche tappings, delicious tiny pretzels in a big tub (pre-COVID, anyway), and all of the good kind of haze (not this smokey stuff in the air). If you’re hungry for more than pretzels, though, there’s always been a steady rotator of food trucks on-site– and none was quite so popular as The Tramp About. So we consider it a big win to now add an on-site restaurant to the list of things that the taproom is known for, and an even bigger win that the restaurant will be run by former Tramp About co-owner Tim Meador. According to the brewery earlier today, the restaurant will be called The Annex at WeldWerks and feature both local and seasonally-inspired small-plate dishes intended to complement the beers on tap. The Annex should be open by the end of 2021, and you can bet we’ll be first in line to see what Chef Tim has in store.

As if this wasn’t good enough, WeldWerks also announced movement on their second taproom, which is to be located in Colorado Springs. Originally slated for an earlier opening, the project has been delayed as a result of permitting holdups, as well as weather-related setbacks in construction. It was announced today, though, that thirsty folks in Colorado Springs will finally be able to wet their whistle by the middle of 2022. Based on their details, it sounds like it’ll be worth the wait: a treehouse-inspired patio and an outdoor beer garden make this second location sound like a destination all its own.

Between the Colorado Springs taproom opening and the on-site restaurant in Greeley, it’s safe to say that WeldWerks Brewing Company isn’t slowing down their breakneck speed–or their signature attention to community and creativity–anytime soon.
