November a Month of Giving Thanks

November a Month of Giving Thanks

Admittedly we joined the party a bit late this time around.  What seems to be the latest craze in Facebook trends, is posting what you’re thankful for each day during the month of November, because nothing says thanks quite like a shout out on FB!  So we thought we’d have a little fun with it by doling out some internet appreciation, as well as some levity. Day 13 Thank goodness for college basketball season.  It should come as no surprise that I am a big time University of Kentucky fan.  Sadly that extends to football where this season, the Wildcats have gone 1-9 and have already announced the firing of head coach Joker Phillips.  I am so thankful it’s basketball season again.  Remember last year when Kentucky won it’s 8th National Championship?  When Kentucky beat Louisville TWICE in one season?  When Kentucky players went 1 and 2 in the draft and had a total of 6 players drafted?  Remember how Anthony Davis capped off the best collegiate season in history with a Gold medal in the Olympics? Remember how this year Kentucky brought in the number one recruiting class for the third straight year?  Remember how we already have the number one recruiting class for next year? Remember how Kentucky plays Duke for their second regular season game of the year?  I am so thankful for college basketball season, because college football is fine but until there’s a playoff it doesnt really matter, because baseball is ok but it’s way too long, because the NHL is the NHL, because the NFL had replacement refs, because NASCAR is NASCAR and because March is the best time of year.  Dear Lord thank you for college basketball!!!
