This beer pours a deep, dark brown almost black, Smells of roasted malt, coffee, and light herbaceous hops. The label says it’s a fresh hopped Winter Warmer, but the only hops I get are on the nose and it is very faint. On the first sip, I taste light roasted coffee. A little boozy, but good nonetheless. I still get no hop notes, though. Each sip seems to get richer. It is Christmas beer for the dark beer lover.
