Auktoberfest Arrives Early at Chuckanut Brewery This Saturday, August 29

Oktoberfest festivities are getting an early start in Skagit Valley, with Chuckanut Brewery turning August into an all-day celebration of German beer, food and fun. Guests can expect lively contests, games, dancing and entertainment – along with a lineup of award-winning lagers and ales and plenty of hearty festival fare. With free admission and activities for all ages, this Saturday’s Auktoberfest offers a festive way to raise a stein and welcome the season ahead.

According to a press release from Chuckanut Brewery, the Auktoberfest celebration will be taking place on Saturday, August 29, between 11am and 8pm, at 11937 Higgins Airport Way, Burlington in Skagit Valley.

Chuckanut Brewery’s traditional family style Oktoberfest is fun for everyone and entry is free for all. 

New this year will be visiting with Mermaid Flora and juggler Sven out of Ten. Contests of strength and skill (Liter Holding), Eye Hand coordination (Hammerschlagen) and more will happen outside or under the big ole tent if the weather does not cooperate. Wear your Oktoberfest costumes and start vocalizing because if you want to enter the Yodeling or Costume contest  you’ll be ready! 

Besides all the contests and chicken dancing you can also have fun playing garden games and board games. There will be lots to do all day and into the night. And did we mention there will be lots of great biers and food? Chuckanut’s award winning German style biers like Fest Bier, Dunkel Lager, and Kolsch along with Bohemian Pilsner, Polish Grodziskie and some American style hoppy beers will all be on tap and available for toasting.
