Moosehead Launches Space Beer to Mark Canada’s Historic Deep Space Mission

To mark the historic Canadian space mission – in which a Canadian will soon be traveling farther into deep space than any human has previously gone – Moosehead Breweries is releasing a limited-edition Space Beer. The beer marries innovation and national pride. It is a freeze-dried version of their iconic Moosehead Lager, and was created in partnership with Canadian food innovators at Future Food Studio. This historic release pays tribute to the ambitious spirit of Canada, allowing consumers to share a unique, mission-ready beer that’s as daring as the nation’s newest triumph in space exploration.

In a press release, Moosehead announced that Space Beer will be available exclusively through the brand’s Instagram channel – meaning Canadians can get a taste of this out-of-this-world innovation without having to leave Earth!

“This is an incredible moment for our country,” says Andrew Oland, President and CEO, Moosehead Breweries. “As a brewery that has been 100% Canadian-owned for more than 150 years, Moosehead is proud to celebrate an achievement that belongs to all Canadians. This mission represents the ambition, ingenuity, and determination that define our country – and it’s a reminder that when we set our sights on something bold, there truly are no limits to what we can achieve.”

Space Beer is made of Moosehead Lager, freeze-dried into zero-gravity-friendly, shelf-stable snacks with no ABV. The product was developed in partnership with Canadian food innovators at Future Food Studio, led by engineer and creative scientist Dr. Irwin Adam Eydelnant.

About Moosehead Breweries

Moosehead has been led by the Oland family since 1867, making us the last major brewery in Canada that is still owned by Canadians. Our 158-year history is as rich as the flavour of our beer. Today, we exist to reawaken and reward the courage to go after what’s difficult because we know that obstacles are just opportunities to show the world what you’re capable of.
