Urban South Brewery Brings Back Oktoberfest Märzen Lager for Fall

Urban South Brewery is bringing back Oktoberfest Märzen, a seasonal lager brewed to capture the rich malt character and clean finish of the classic style. At 6.2% ABV (and 15 IBU) the beer balances a fuller body with light bitterness – and a crisp finish. The release reflects the brewery’s focus on balance and drinkability and careful brewing across its diverse lineup.
In a press release, Urban South Brewery announced that Oktoberfest will be available for a limited time in 6-packs and on tap at bars and restaurants across Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.
Supporters can also use the Urban South Beer Finder to locate Oktoberfest at retailers near them.
Featuring rich, slightly sweet malt character balanced by a crisp, clean finish, Oktoberfest offers Urban South’s take on a classic German beer style closely associated with the annual Oktoberfest tradition.
At 6.2% ABV and 15 IBU, Oktoberfest features a fuller body and malt-forward profile complemented by a light bitterness and clean finish. The seasonal release stays rooted in the characteristics of a traditional Märzen while showcasing the balance and drinkability that have made the style a longstanding favorite.
