How would you describe the culture and atmosphere of Wolf’s Ridge?
Wolf’s Ridge is a 100% family-owned brewery rooted in hospitality, craft, and community. Beer has always been about bringing people together, and that belief shapes everything we do—from the way we brew to the way we host. Our downtown location has both a more food-forward Dining Room as well as our beer-forward Taproom. Both are intentionally welcoming and unpretentious. At our core, we care deeply about our neighbors and our city. The culture here is built on empathy, inclusivity, and the idea that our spaces should always feel open to connection and respectful exchange. Great beer matters to us—but great hospitality matters even more.
What is a feature of Wolf’s Ridge’s taproom that makes it stand out, and why?
Our location in downtown Columbus highlights the best of our city. A historic building that strives to welcome all who visit. On top of that, we have something for everyone! An 18-tap draft list, approachable cocktails, and delicious stone-hearth pizza. In the warmer months, we have a garage door that opens to a spacious patio with cornhole, table games, and free dog treats.
When is the best time to visit, and why?
We love our space at all times but it’s especially exciting before events downtown as the excitement of a Blue Jackets or Crew game is evident. Our brunch experience is one of the best in the city and is a great way to kick off your Saturday. If you’re looking for value, we recommend visiting before 6pm to take advantage of our Happy Hour! As of February 2026, the Happy Hour is:
- DRINKS
- $4 614 Lager
- $8 Cocktails
- $8 Wines
- $10 Liter Beer Steins
- FOOD
- $10 WRB Burger
- $5 Drumsticks
- $5 Waffle Fries
- $5 Brussels Sprouts
What beer or menu item has been the staff-favorite lately?
We always have a few rotating barrel-aged beers on draft, and the most popular of late has been our 17-Year Dickel Dire Wolf, our imperial stout aged in rare whiskey barrels. Rich and smooth with balanced notes of fudge and oak.
What weekly/monthly/annual events take place in your taproom?
We host a weekly Music Trivia on Sundays from 4pm-6pm. We also host a fundraising Happy Hour every month with a different local non-profit organization through our monthly charity program, Brewing Hope. Our convenient downtown location also makes us the ideal spot for pre-gaming local sporting events and concerts.
What should a first-time visitor to Wolf’s Ridge know?
As passionate as we are about great beer, we care even more about providing great hospitality and supporting our community. You can expect friendly service, delicious food and beverage, and a cooler packed with 6-packs of your favorite beer to take home with you.
When someone is visiting your taproom, what else should they check while in the area?
We’re conveniently located downtown, which makes us an ideal stop before or after local sporting events and concerts. Our neighborhood, which includes our good friends Jackie O’s Brewery, offers easy access to Nationwide Arena, Huntington Park, Lower.com Field, and a wide range of live music venues and arts programming. Visitors can easily build a full day around their trip—grab lunch or dinner with us, explore downtown Columbus, catch a game or a show, and then swing back for a nightcap. If the weather’s nice, our patio is the perfect place to wind down the evening. Being downtown also reinforces what we care about most: being part of the fabric of the city. We care deeply about Columbus and the people who call it home, and we love being a gathering place for locals and visitors alike.
