Fast Facts on Revolution Brewing’s Packaging Moves for Summer

Fast Facts on Revolution Brewing’s Packaging Moves for Summer
Taylor Laabs

Revolution Brewing already has several great summer sipping beers like Rosa and Fist City in their canned arsenal; now, they’re adding a couple new seasonal options to help round out their summer portfolio.

Here are the fast facts on Revolution’s newest packaging moves built for warmer temperatures.

Cross of Gold 18-packs

Revolution’s award-winning 4.8% ABV golden ale had previously only been available on draft (or 22oz bombers) but it makes sense that they’d eventually expand this easy drinker into the easily-accessible can format. Cross of Gold is a great refreshing beer with a light finish, which makes it a perfect counterpart to a bevy of summertime activities like boating, BBQs and beach days. Packaging these golden brews in a robust 18-pack of 12oz cans might raise eyebrows on first glance, but it makes sense when you realize that these beers are meant to be shared and enjoyed time and time again. The 18-pack will be available at the Kedzie taproom along with across Revolution’s extensive Midwest retail footprint.

League of Heroes Issue 2 + Tropic Hero

League of Heroes Issue 1 was a huge success for Revolution as it allowed them to package together some of their most popular Hero-series IPAs while also introducing their newest Hero variant: Amarillo Hero. League of Heroes Issue 2 will follow that same successful strategy. The second iteration of the Hero-series 12-pack will feature Anti, Amarillo, Crystal and the new Tropic Hero variety. Tropic Hero is brewed with Citra, Mosaic, Crystal and a new HBC 438 hop strain and will add a good deal of fruity flavor that will pair with its more bitter 12oz brothers like Anti-Hero.

League of Heroes V2 is available at retailers now.

Citra Hero 6-packs

Fear not! Although Citra Hero won’t be in the latest version of the League of Heroes, it will still be available in 6-packs so you can get your citrus kick wherever you please this summer.

As a Revolution fanboy I’d like to submit a correction – I do believe that Cross of Gold was available bottled in the 22 oz bomber format as well as being on tap as one of the original brewpub varieties.

      Hey Matt,
Thanks for reading. Will update to reflect that it was also originally available in the 22oz format.

      Thanks!
