Court Shoes Only | A Double IPA Benefiting ACEing Autism

Court Shoes Only

Residents of Charlotte, North Carolina look forward to Queen City Brewers Festival every February. But given all that 2020 has brought us, the 2021 Queen City Brewers Festival will be in the format of a collective beer initiative: Court Shoes Only.

2021 would have been a milestone 10th year of Queen City Brewers Festival (QCBF). Each February the city gathers to sample beers from breweries across the city and region while benefiting a good cause. The proceeds of the festival and raffle historically have always gone to ACEing Autism. This is a nonprofit whose mission it is to serve children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through unique tennis programs.

Court Shoes Only

In lieu of the festival QCBF has decided to host a collective beer initiative, Court Shoes Only, which is a Double IPA. The recipe was co-developed by Chad Henderson, Head Brewer and Co-Owner of NoDa Brewing, and Chris “Tropes” Tropeano Head Brewer and Co-Owner of Resident Culture Brewing Company. Proceeds donated from sales of Court Shoes Only will benefit ACEing Autism Charlotte programs.

QCBF is asking participating breweries to release their variant of Court Shoes Only the week of February 1, ahead of Super Bowl Sunday. Breweries are still in the opting-in phase, so the list of participants is forthcoming. Stay tuned for more updates around this exciting new initiative in the Charlotte beer scene!
